If we were getting closer and closer to the sun, it would be raining all the time.

  2. Aldaraia666 says:

Hah, kinda reminds me in Pokemon Ruby when Groudon was awoken by Team Magma to increase the landmasses, they then realize that it only caused the sun to become painfully hot and slowly turn the planet into a hellish lava pit.

  3. cashaiesha says:

Thats to scarey to think about

  4. biglimes says:

    Terrifying.

  5. likestallwomen says:

What makes this episode so well is how it twsts at the end, instead of goin’ to the sun, the earth heads from the sun! Rod and the guys did a great job on the Twilight Zone!

  6. PufferBluntman says:

    Talking about global warming!

The heat outside now gives me chills…

  7. CaptainPommby says:

    Damn!

  8. likestallwomen says:

Taht endin’ is somethin’ else! Talk about twists!

  9. sbrooks0178 says:

This is the one of the best written episodes of the series. I remember the first time I saw it, my heart wouldn’t come out of my throat.

  10. spinjoh says:

@Vanechalyssa yes it was all a dream . her dream was nothing but heat cuz of her fever and the reason the sun always shone and it was getting closer and closer to earth was cuz in reality . the opposite was taking place. it was getting farther away from earth and it was nothing but night. the world got colder and colder each day . and she got sick from the cold and caught a fever in the end she was doomed either way

  11. evancortez2 says:

This heat wave wer’e having reminds me of this episode…

  12. Physhi says:

Yeah. I’d have to agree. I have yet to see another show of it’s caliber since. Nothing is surprising anymore, and as they say; there is nothing new under the sun. I may be young, but even I notice the hideous quality of broadcasts these days. This show was made to open your mind to impossibilities that may become reality, and thus under that mindset will open your own mind up to think that anything is possible, and I must say — it certainly is. Today? There are no such hints from any media.

  13. djwolf12 says:

@Physhi that what makes the twilight zone arguably the best tv show ever. rod serling has to be the best writer in television history

  14. churchillstevester1 says:

All sun or no sun at all. Neither one is extreme is good. Kind of scary stuff!

  15. Vanechalyssa says:

I don’t get the ending, was It just a dream ??

  16. cgreen55 says:

Easily the most terrifying ever of all the Twilight Zone episodes. I still get nightmares.

  19. Zlagie says:

That was when that Channel was called SiFi, not retarded SyFy

  20. apartmentlifeatx says:

    Epic TZ ending!!

  21. XxSmoothoperatorxX says:

if you freeze to death at least it can be while your sleeping,Lol so i guess the next dream its gunna rain forever?0.0

  22. fusock says:

Lois was on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” as Mary’s new producer who wants to date Lou Grant. It was from season 3 or 4, and I watched it on a rainy Tuesday afternoon eating pretzels.

  23. fusock says:

Amazing- one of the best episodes of the series. What IF that happened TODAY? Our ipod-generation wouldn’t be able to handle it without downloading an application that would fix it.

  24. NARATO0 says:

yea at least in cold when you freeze to death theres no pain, you can canotorl heat and when your hot your very uncomterbale so yea i prefer cold

  25. mst3KGf says:

Frankly, the ending twist sounds a lot more attractive to me. Freezing to death is a lot more attractive than burning up like a moth in a bug zapper.
